In my opinion, lying is okay in the right situation although it can backfire. If someone were to find out that you had lied to them, they could be quite upset with you. Even though it could be the best option could be to lie it could ruin friendships, relationships, and much more. Although it can hurt one person, it could also be better for another. The situation also depends on if a lie is being used for good or bad reasons. If it's for good, it isn't bad for that situation. But if it's to cover up something bad, I wouldn't suggest doing so because that could lead. To a major catastrophic event in your life, and possibly others around you. It also depends on if a lie is about a person you should never lie about a person even if it benefits that person, and that happens to be my opinion on lying.
