In this question we can solve by using elimination method and eliminating few terms forming a linear equation in one variable
Let’s take the two equations and mark it as 1 and 2
X-3y=13—(1)
2x+4y=-4–(2)
Now let’s multiply 2 with first equation throughout
2x-6y=26–(3),
Subtracting (2) from (3)
We get,
-10y=30,
y=-3.
Substituting the value of y in (1),
x+9=13,
X=22
Thus x=22 and y=-3
