The goods that Great Britain passed a direct tax on that led to boycotts and a group of delegates to meet to determine how to protest it were stamped goods such as newspapers, wills and licenses. Delegates formed the Stamp Act Congress to demand that Parliament get rid of the tax. This led to more division between the colonists and the British before the Revolution.
