A codon is made up of
A. a two-nucleotide sequence.
B. a three-nucleotide sequence.
C. a four-nucleotide sequence.
D. a five-nucleotide sequence.

Respuesta :

A three nucleotide sequence. On mRNA, once it enters the ribosomes codons, ie AGU (adenine, guanine and uracil) is a codon, and is then paired with an anticodon of complementary bases which create a link of amino acids to create a protein.
The first path is from the nucleus. DNA from the nucleus, assigns specific job for the organelles to follow through mRNA. The mRNA goes out from the nucleus and enters the cytoplasm where ribosomes will attach to the mRNA. The ribosome-mRNA combination binds to the endoplasmic reticulum and signals the tRNA to translate the message from DNA. The rRNA contains codons that will be used for the translation of the messages by the tRNA. These codons has a three – nucleotide sequence. A vesicle that contains the enzyme grows out from the endoplasmc reticulum ans transport the enzyme to the Golgi body for further processing. The answer is letter B.
