The first thing you should do is figure out what tattoo you want, where to get it, how much it costs etc. showing your parents that you already have a plan and are clear about what you want can encourage the answer to be a positive. If I were u I would also volunteer to pay for the tat but that’s your choice. When trying to persuade your parents make sure that they know why you want a tattoo and all that stuff. Make sure you explain to them that you understand that tattoos are permanent and you’re completely sure that you want one. If your parents are worried that you won’t get a job if you have a tattoo or something like this convince them that they have nothing to worry about. Even after everything your parents still say no then don’t lash out at them, be calm about it and tell them that you’re willing to wait until 18 or however long they need to get a tattoo.
