Because peole in the middle east have one specific belief in  religion. Politics help them select their ruler. Econiomics help their land stay healty for crop and etc. geography to help the find trade routes.

These factors continue to cause tension because of religious radicalization and deepening of the Sunni-Shia schism.

What is a conflict?

This is a competitive fight or battle by a competitive or or opposing action  of incompatible state or action.

This reasons fueled rivalry between states and intensified conflict in the divided Middle east especially between the Sunni leading state (Saudi Arabia) and the leading Shia state (Iran).
