Dust Bowl or Dirty thirties was the period of drought in America in 1930. Agriculture and ecology of American and prairies of Canadians were greatly damaged. There are three waves which drought came in i.e 1934, 1936, and 1939 to 1940. For eight years regions which are in high plains, they experienced significant drought. It is during that period the unanchored soil was turned to dust which wind blew in huge and the sky blackened.
Poverty stricken families were forced by dust bowl to abandon their farms because they were unable to grow crops and pay mortgages and they incurred a large number of dollars as losses. Many of them migrated to California.
