The Roman states were more successful at being unified, whereas the Greek states constantly bickered and waged war which contributed to the fall of the Greek Empire. Greece was much more powerful in a military sense, but the Roman republic could maintain an empire better. Greeks focused on math, astrology, logic, and philosophy.
