A) ordered a blockade to cut off trade and supplies to the colonies

C) ordered a cease fire to the colonies
D) agreed to order a compromise with the colonies

Respuesta :

The Olive Branch Petition, also known as The Humble Petition, was the second letter sent to King George III by the Americans. The letter actually declared that they will still be loyal to the crown given that the King just listens to some of the colonies’ grievances. King George III disregarded the letter and declared the colonies forming a rebellion against him. King George III ordered a blockade to cut off the trade and supplies to the colonies as this was punishment for rebelling against his rule. With his disregard for his people, the Olive Branch Petition was one of the many reasons for the Revolutionary War.
