The Fun Guys game rental store charges an annual fee of $15 and charges $5.50 per game rented. The Game Bank charges an annual fee of $31 and charges $3.50 per game. For how many game rentals will the cost be the same at both stores? What is that cost?

Find total cost at both stores.

Fun Guys cost= 15 +5.5.a
where a is no of games rental

Game Bank Cost= 31 +3.5.a
where a is no of games rental

Since cost is equal in both
Therefore
31 + 3.5.a= 15 + 5.5.a
->2.a=16
->a=8
Therefore after 8 game rentals cost is same in both stores. 
cost= 31+ 3.5.(8)=59
