Lewis Latimer was known for making an incandescent light bulb
more practical and affordable by the use of carbon filament. Aside from this, he also had contributions to
the invention of the telephone. Latimer
drafted drawings which were used by Alaxander Graham Bell for the patent of the
first telephone in the year 1876.
