Number 4. Due to salt and gold being highly sought after resources their presence heavily impacted trade and interaction amongst themselves and other empires, this in turn grew their kingdoms.
Number 5. Slavery in West Africa primarily involved raidings of rival villages and capture of prisoners, they would later be sold as slaves. In the Americas there were systems such as the encomienda (Spanish) which allowed for paid labor. Slaves were typically bought from Africans. Work layouts remained very similar among the two, mining being the most common.
Number 6. Portugal had relations with many nations and had forts located along the coast of Africa, this gave them control of trade along the coast.
Number 5, the second one. They viewed themselves as saving the natives from going to hell and suffering. Also being extremely pushed to find gold and silver they clouded their minds. As previously mentioned they attempted to convert the native peoples.
Number 6, the second one. The Colombian Exchange caused increased rates of polygamy in Africa as most males were shipped off as slaves, major population decline.
