When it is humid outside, the air contains a high amount of water vapor, the gaseous form of water. How do you think high humidity would affect dispersal of pine cone seeds?

When the weather is dry the pine cones open up and when it's going to rain they close down. Its really just the science behind it.Pine cones open and close depending on the humidity to help seed dispersal.

During cold weather the pine cones shut so no seeds go out. But during the hot and humid climate they open up, putting seeds in the air so they can be planted and grown.

Explanation:

If the seeds where released during the winter by surviving pine cones than they wouldn’t grow. Wasting lots of seed, but during hot humid weather when they can grow they are released into the wild to grow.
