Isostatic rebound is also known as post-glacial rebound and crustal rebound. It refers to the rise in the mass of land that was depressed due to the weight of huge glacier at time. The process responsible for istatic rebound is isostatic depression.
Isostatic rebound has occurred in the nature and it is evident in North America, Antarctica, etc. One of the example of isostatic rebound could be Lake Malaren in Sweden where Lake Malaren was a part of Baltic sea, but it got separated from the sea due to upliftment of the land due to isstatic rebound.
