Only two american presidents were assassinated between 1870 and 1901, James Abraham Garfield, the twentieth president, who was wounded by a shot on July 2nd, 1881, dying on september 19th, same year, a really bad infection produced by the shot led him to the end. William McKinley, the twentiefith president was the second one assassinated betwenn those years, he was born in Niles, Ohio, on January 29th, 1843. Mckinley was also wounded by a shot on September 6th in a music temple, dying eight days later victim of gangrene.
