Everything about Atticus is completely different from other fathers, I mean not even the way he raises Jem and Scout but also his views on society. He believes that everybody has a purpose and meaning in life and that nobody has done anything wrong. He tries to raise Jem and Scout to behave in a proper manner but also doesn't try to control Scout to be that perfect southern girl image that Scout refuses to become.
