The facts about the Native Peoples when Columbus met on the island is that they were different from Europeans as they did not have advanced weapons and their culture was different.

  • On his way to find India, Columbus encountered indigenous people and named them Indians.
  • He soon released that he found a New World with plenty of resources with native people.
  • The Native Americans lack advanced weapons like Europeans. Natives use weapons made of wood and stones to make bows and arrows, spears, etc.
  • Natives were tall and had physiques.
  • They wore gold jewellery, which attracted many European to find gold in America.
  • They have their religion and culture, which was different from Europeans (Christians).
  • Native Indians lived in villages in huts and occupied farming and fishing.

Therefore we can conclude that the Native peoples were different from Europeans.
