The Sharks have played 5 basketball games this season. Their scores are 65, 63, 67, 60, and 65. If they only score 30 points in their next game, what will happen to their MEDIAN score?

the median of the scores now is:

60 , 63 , 65 , 65 ,67

Median = 65

if the score 30, the median would be

30, 60 , 63 , 65 , 65 ,67

Median: 63 +65 = 128/2 = 64

The Median drops by 1
In their first five games their median would be 67 because it is the middle number. But if they score 30 points then you would have to add 67+60 and get 127. Then you divide 127 by 2 and get 63.5. The median would be changed to 63.5.
