The length of the longest loaf of bread measured 1,405ft 1 3/4in. It was cut into slices 1/2in. thick. How many slices were there?

1 inch would equal 2 slices of bread.  
So there would be 24 slices in one foot.
multiply 1405 by 24 and you get 33720
so then add 3 to that from the 1 3/4
you know have 33723 1/2 slices of bread. because 3/4-1/2 would be 1/4 which is 1/2 a slice of bread.
so the answer would be 33723 1/2 slices of bread:)
