That incident happened in Congo.
The movement is known as the Holy Spirit Movement, a cultic revolt lead by Alice Auma in 1987 against the Uganda Army of Pres. Yoweri Museveni. Alice Auma was a spirit-medium who claimed she was visited by the spirit "Lakwena", a dead army officer which they believed a manifestation of a Holy Spirit. She used this to gain followers and convinced them to launch attacks on the Ugandan Army and the government. However, thousands of her followers were slaughtered. The cultic movement is now called Lord's Resistance Army, as reorganized by Josef Kony.
