Dear mom and dad,

I'm enjoying myself at my new school in Cuba! I've learned so much! Did you know that my high school year here would be my last if I lived here? They only have 3 years of secondary school rather than 4 in America. Even then the number of years in their primary education is only 6. So compared to Americans Cubans only get to a 9th-grade education rather than a college like the US! Here. we have two shifts, I like the afternoon shift more which is 1PM to 5PM, but some prefer the mooring shift which is 8AM to 12PM. I find it interesting that they get a choice of the time they would like to attend, unlike the US. In the US we attend school around 8am to 3PM, Monday-Friday. Unless you're online schooled in the US then you can attend whenever. They also online have 10 months of school instead of 11 like we have in the US! We attend March to December. I'm having so much fun learning all these cool facts about Cuba.

I miss sand love you. Love, Heavyn
