Why can we still see craters on the moon even though they were formed by ancient meteor collisions?

Because there is no wind, snow, rain, sleet, blowing dust, hail,
or humidity on the moon to smooth them over and fill them in.
Without those things, we'd be able to see all the ancient meteor
collisions on Earth.
