This problem usually occurs when you insert a device to a windows machine via USB. Usually, its a driver issue.
go to settings>Update and Security>Troubleshoot>Hardware and Devices
click Run the Troubleshooter
this should update all drivers for your connected device, do not disconnect the device that is connected via USB and do not power off your computer.
