slope = (0 - 25) / (250 - 0) = -25/250 = - 1/10 (or - 0.1) <==

the y int (where the line crosses the y axis) is (0,25)

the y int is the original height of the candle...it is 25 cm tall
the slope -1/10 means that the candle burns at a rate of 1/10 cm per min
and after 250 minutes, the candle will have burned up completely (the x axis (250,0)
