Population of foxes have greater biomass as compared to population of rabbits living in same ecosystem.
What do you mean by biomass?
Biomass, the weight or total quantity of living organisms of one animal or plant species (species biomass) or of all the species in a community
Rabbits are primary consumers. They obtain more energy from the food they eat than foxes do. This is because foxes are secondary consumers. There will be fewer foxes in the ecosystem than rabbits.
The weight of all the rabbits in an ecosystem will be more than the weight of all the foxes in the same ecosystem.
