What caused the Red Scare of 1919? Explain the Sacco-Vanzetti and John T. Scopes cases, which amendment enacted prohibition? Which amendment repealed prohibition?

Respuesta :

Ok so the 18th enacted prohibition and the 21st amendment repealed prohibition
The red scare of 1919 was caused by a fear of immigrants after WWI.
Sacco-Vanzetti were two Italian immigrants accused of murder and robbery.  They were not given a fair trial because they were immigrants and sentenced to death.  Most supported the court's decision but some intellectuals began to support Sacco and Vanzetti.
The Scopes case showed a new support of fundamentalism which would be sticking more to the bible word for word.  Scopes was tried for teaching evolution in a school which went against the bible beliefs
