i solely believe that the government does not represent the people that we were built to be. I feel that they only care for the money and power that they all have, and do not care for us. The government's job is to represent the people, and when we have government restrictions they are truly not representing the way we should be. We are a democracy, that was built on the people, and is represented by the people.

Representative government doesn't represent most of the people, and that's not actually bad at all, because one thing is people power to vote and decide, and other thing is that people are able to take those decisions. Ignorance inherent to the crowds.
Also, representative government concentrate power in some electors which vote have more value that normal people, this guarantee more power to those electors.
Taking care of themselves an their friends is a common action between politics, no matter what perspective they use to rule. Always is gonna be family and friends first.
