If a Spider man leaves the ground at 13.2 m / s , he can get about 8.89 m high .

In this question Equation of Motion under gravity can be used :

v ² - u ² = 2 g h ............. Eq. 1

Here ,

u = 13 . 2 m / s

v = 0 m / s

g = - 9.8 m / s ² ( -ve as motion is against the gravity )

Now , we can use the values of u , v and g in Eq 1 .

v ² - u ² = 2 g h

0² - ( 13.2 ) ² = 2 x ( - 9.8 ) x h

0 - 174.24 = - 19.6 x h

- 174.24 = - 19.6 x h

h = 8.89 m

Hence , if a Spider man leaves the ground at 13.2 m / s , he can get about 8.89 m high .
