Learning, remembering, deciding and communicating are all aspects of thinking.
Any mental endeavour or information processing is referred to as thinking. It consists of essential cognitive processes like understanding, recalling, perceiving, speaking, believing, and deciding. It is a cognitive behaviour in which concepts, pictures, mental images, or other fictitious components of cognition are encountered or controlled.
Two qualities can be used to describe thinking: It is symbolic—that is, it appears to require operations on mental symbols or representations, the nature of which is still unclear and up for debate—and covert—that is, it cannot be directly observed and must instead be inferred from behaviour or self-reports.
