A karyotypes is a micrograph of the complete diploid set of chromosomes grouped together in pairs and arrange in order of decreasing size. A haploid sperm carrying 23 chromosome will fertilize a haploid egg having 23 chromosomes. The developing diploid cell will develop into a new organism that have 46 complemen chromosomes, that is, two set 23 chromosomes. This scientific logic is used to identity new species.
A karyotype is a test, which helps to evaluate the size, shape and number of chromosomes in a body of cell. Each specie has its own distinctive number of chromosomal pairs; therefore, species can be identified if the number of chromosomes are known.
