All the cancers in oral cavity and oropharynx are squamous cell carcinomas which is also called squamous cell cancers. That start in squamous cells , which flat , thin cells that form the lining of the mouth and throat. The earliest form of squamous cell cancer which is known as carcinoma in situ.
