It takes 4 to 7 days after a primary response do significant amounts of antibody appear in blood. The primary immune response is characterized by the appearance of IgM class.

Typical adaptive antibody response is shown as the relative concentration of serum antibodies weeks after injection of an animals with antigens A or mixture of antigen A and B. Antigen specific T and B cells which is called lymphocytes are activated , their number expand some memory cells remain resulting in memory for the specific antigens.

A primary 1 degree immune response  that occur following the first exposure to foreign antigen. A secondary 2 degree following subsequent exposures.
