In 1873, two railroad lines, namely, Houston and Texas railroad and Texas and Pacific railway intersection, came into existence and paved the way to industrial development of Dallas.

In 1880s, Missouri- Kansas -Texas railroad, had reached Dallas.

But in 1893, National Financial Panic had broke down many industries and banks of the city, which also resulted in migration of people to other cities or demographic decline.

The city came out of the disaster around 1894 and the development process continued, later came the Oil period in 1930-45,

when the construction business was flourishing along with Texas oil boom.

In this period banks made huge loans to oil companies which made Dallas the financial center for the oil industry of Texas and Oklahoma.

Dallas also had an important role in the world war 2, as it served as the manufacturing hub for wars, by providing military vehicle manufacturing and later on war rationing.
