Nanoparticle contrast-enhanced micro-CT: A preclinical tool for the 3D imaging of liver and spleen in longitudinal mouse studies

Respuesta :

The  micro -CT imaging has become popular due to the involvement of different types of radiopaque contrast agents and recently nanoparticles based ExiTron nano available for micro - CT imaging of soft tissues.

What is micro CT - Scan ?

Micro CT scan is used to scan X-rays imaging 3D and it is used on much smaller scale with less resolution.

The accumulation of  phagocytosis cells like kupffer cells in liver and macrophages in the spleen increase reduction of the signalsof soft tissues. That is why it is essential to  find the toxicity of this nanomaterialin CT imaging prior to its application in  pharmacology studies.
