Doctors, lawyers, and accountants fit into upper middle class category of Dennis Gilbert's model of class structure
The Gilbert model was a class developed by Dennis Gilbert as a means to classify people in a given society into social classes. The six social class that Gilbert model consists of are: capitalist class, upper middle class, lower middle class, working class, working poor class, underclass. The four variable on which determines the classification are power, prestige, property and education.
The social hierarchy is at extreme but the differences between the classes become blurred as you move towards the center where the working and middle classes are. The precise classification is not possible.
