0 = - 16x² + 12x - 8x + 6
0 = -4x(4x-3) -2(4x-3)
0 = (-4x-2)(4x-3)
x = -0.50, 0.75
Since the time can not be negative, therefore, the time in which the athlete complete the jump is 0.75 seconds.
