Looking at the "Tale of Two Brothers", we see that Anpu's wife pretended that she was beaten in order to get the attention of Anpu.

If I was Bata, I will also leave the house. So, I agree with him leaving the house.

If I was Anpu, I wouldn't believe my wife's explanation.
