At a baseball game, a vender sold a combined total of 108 sodas and hot dogs. The number of sodas sold was 38 more than the number of hot dogs sold. Find
the number of sodas sold and the number of hot dogs sold.
108 sodas and hot dogs are all combined and there were 38 more sodas than hot dogs so you should do 108-38= 70 and then 70-38=32 so there were 38 hotdogs and 70 sodas.
