Why did the Kulak class, in particular, oppose collectivization?

They opposed modernization and machines and clung to old farming methods.
They were wealthier than other peasants and therefore had the most to lose.
They supported workers’ rights and wanted to protect individual farmers’ jobs.
They were against Joseph Stalin’s Five-Year Plan and worked to undermine it.

The reason why Kulak class oppose collectivization was: They were wealthier than other peasants and therefore had the most to lose.

In collectivization, there is no private ownership of lands regardless of work hours and productivity that given by members of society. This mean that in collectivization, the kulak class would most likely felt disadvantaged because they are group of peasants that significantly more productive compared to others.
