Dear New Student,

A percentage is a part of a full 100. It is usually the number that follows with a percentage sign which is also able to change into a decimal. There are multiple ways to write a percentage! One example is the regular number with this '%' symbol following it (Ex: 50%). Another example is a decimal, like I already stated
(Ex: 0.50). and a fraction is another example.
(Ex: 50/100 or 5/10). These are most of the ways -if not all- are how you write a percent number!

Hope this helped!

A percent is a part of 100. Percents are used often in the real world. For example, if I went to a grocery store and I had a special coupon for 50% off, I would have to pay half of what I would have paid without the coupon. You can write percents in different ways. You can write a decimal to a percent, a fraction to a percent and other numbers too.
