1) they were declared 'alien enemies' and weren't allowed to live near military facilities, airports, port towns, or in the capital.

2) they also had to give away their bank account information and other sensitive info to a 'alien property custodian'.

if they didn't comply they were deemed 'potentially dangerous' and put in  internment camps until the war was over.
