Which best explains how rotation affects the colors we see in the sky at dawn and dusk?

A. At dawn and dusk the rotation of Earth slows down so the light from the increased sunlight creates colors.

B. At dawn and dusk, Earth has rotated closer to the Sun, so the heat creates the colors in the sky.

C. At dawn and dusk, sunlight is closer to Earth’s curved surface, refracting in the atmosphere, creating colors.

D. As dawn and dusk, the light from the Sun is fading and phases through all the colors of a prism in a cycle.

Respuesta :

I’m gonna say D because the sun lights and heats up earth.

Option (c) best describes about the rotation that, how it affects the colors we see in the sky at dawn and dusk.

What is dawn and dusk?

'Dawn' is the early morning time or sunrise time and 'Dusk' is the twilight time or sunset time.

When earth is rotating at its own place, so at the dawn and dusk time sun is near to the horizon line and distance between the earths surface and sun is less as compared to the day time. And at that time red light travels much easily to the earth side due to long wavelength and blue color travels at the day time when distance is more. Due to scattering and refraction of light we are able to see colors.

Hence, at dawn and dusk, sunlight is closer to Earth’s curved surface, refracting in the atmosphere, creating colors.
