In the space below, prove that the actions during the Boston Tea Party show that the colonists desired more representation in government. Your answer should be in three to four complete sentences.

Respuesta :

Well, the reason they put the tea in the ocean is to prove they didn't enjoy being taxed. They also burned paper and such because of taxes as well. They said 'taxation without representation' in these revolts.

Answer:

The reason the Boston tea party occurred was that the colonists didn't like being taxed for tea. Even though the English tea was cheaper than the tea from Holland, the colonists felt that the English were trying to find a way to trick the colonists into paying the taxes. The colonists wanted to have a say in their government, they wanted to have rights to make their own choices, that way there wouldn't be that many revolts against the English.
