one complaint people had with the Catholic church was their practice of selling indulgences which were promises made by the church to shorten a persons time in purgatory after they died. explain why this church policy angered so many.
People were strong about their religion and no where in the Bible says you have to pay your sins away. Martin Luther then wrote the 95 Thesis which is 95 reasons he was angry with the church.
