What is a monarchy? Who does it benefit? Who does it abuse? How was it justified?

Respuesta :

Answer:

1) A form of government with a monarch at the head e.g. The Queen of England.

2) When you consider the advantages of a monarchy, then the fact that one person makes all decisions improves the pace of implementation. This benefit allows the administration to be more responsive whenever there is a need, therefore it benefits administrative authority and the country as a whole.

3) A monarchy can invest too much power in a single individual who may not be serious enough and could be a poor leader, also it does not allow democratic legitimacy so it abuses democrats and could abuse the country as a whole if the leader is not fit to be a monarch.

4) The most common defense of monarchical absolutism, known as “the divine right of kings” theory, asserted that kings derived their authority from God. This view could justify even tyrannical rule as divinely ordained punishment, administered by rulers, for human sinfulness.
