Work out the percentage error when estimating the height of this building using
the formula given.

Solution,

We have,

H = 3f + 15

Put f = 85 in the above formula

H = 3(85) + 15

H = 270 m

Error,

[tex]E=\dfrac{270-260}{260}\times 100\\\\=3.84\%[/tex]

So, the required error is 3.84%.
