The paintings were used in order to portray the wishes for the deceased and help them in the afterlife. They would show the person during the happy events to provide them with happiness, or would show the elements of the passing.
Additionally, paintings on the tombs would often depict goods and riches, so that the deceased person would be supplied with them on the other world. We see on this one that there are baskets with grapes, which means the relatives of the deceased wished them to have supplies of wine and grapes in the afterlife.
