The dependent variable refers to the variable being measured in an experiment. It is the variable which changes as we tweak the value of the independent variable. In the experiment described above, the dependent variable is the number of jellybean consumed by each participant.

The Independent variable refers to the variables which are used to cause a change in the dependent or measured variable. The Independent variables in the experiment are the various flavors of jelly bean made available to the participants.

Outliers refers to the values which vary significantly from the rest of the values in the distribution.

From the table, using visual inspection ;

Participant, E time C = 10 are Outliers.

Taste aversion learning could be explained as a phenomenon whereby an organism shows decrease in consumption of a food item over time after it's first experience.

From the table, it could be seen that the Number of jelly bean consumed by each participant decreased significantly each time.
