Explanation: There are numerous types of characters portrayed in literary work. They are created by the author in a manner to carry forward the plot of the work, to mirror the different strata of the society represented by their portrayal and their thought process, etc. The characters can be complex, simple, round, flat, static, dynamic, etc. If we compare static and dynamic characters, they are quite contrary to each other. Static characters are those who do not experience much change throughout the story while dynamic characters evolve and experience a transformation in their personality by the end of the story. Static characters do not provide much influence on the development of the story while dynamic characters are vital to the work. Hence dynamic characters are more significant to the work in contrast to the static ones.
