Force = Mass × Acceleration

Solution:-

We know that ,

Force = Mass × Acceleration

★ Substituting the values in the above formula,we get:

⇒ 480 = 40 × Acceleration

⇒ Acceleration, a = 480/40

⇒ Acceleration,a = 12 m/s

Thus,the acceleration of a body is 12 metres per seconds.
